Hotel Encanto is searching for a self motivated, experienced individual to fill the position of Assistant Controller/Accounting Office Manager. This position will assist the Director of Operations and Accounting with the supervision and direction of the financial and accounting activities of the hotel, preparation of financial reports, monitoring of internal controls and safeguarding of hotel assets.

Specific duties will include audit and preparation of daily income reports, preparation of daily variance reports, inter-company billings, credit card dispute resolutions, posting payments on account, handling guest/client calls regarding billings, auditing of house banks, monthly counting of food/beverage inventories with department managers, preparation and entry of routine GL journal entries, and daily and monthly account reconciliations.

This is a salaried position which requires occasional travel to Albuquerque for training (overnight stay), as well as occasional work outside of normal business hours, to include weekends and holidays, as needed to meet deadlines.

This position requires the candidate be a team player who is capable of working well with senior managers and line-level staffs. Must be comfortable working with several computer-based hotel and accounting systems as well as strict deadlines and a consistent volume of work.

Candidates must have prior experience as a hotel AGM, hotel night audit/front desk or comparable experience in an accounting office. All candidates must have clear credit and background reports.
