Hotel Encanto is seeking a talented Chef to oversee Gardunos Restaurant, all hotel Banquet Events as well as our exclusive Azul Bar. It is preferred that interested individuals must be a graduate with certification from a culinary institution. A minimum of 3 years managerial experience as an Executive Chef in a successful full service hotel/outlet. Must have a track record of creative thinking, energy and passion resulting in establishing an exciting social venue. Must have ability to communicate and interact with guests, associates and other members of management. Ability to analyze statistical and financial performances on revenues and expenses and take proactive actions as necessary. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, maintaining a qualify of food that exceeds customer expectations. Coordinate, supervise and direct all aspects of the hotel's food production. Maintain a highly profitable F&B operation while delivering high-quality and unique products. Ensure operational standards are maintained including preparation techniques and health department rules and regulations. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Develop employees by coaching them in cooking and service techniques. Mentor employees for career development within Heritage Hotels & Resorts. Estimating food consumption and requisitions. Receiving and examining food and supplies to ensure quality and quantity meet standards and specifications. Developing costs and pricing menu items. Maintaining time and payroll records.
