Door Attendant

Front of House Department Description:

Hotel Chaco is Albuquerque’s newest luxury hotel that invites its guests to discover an ancient civilization through world class architecture & design, accents of local artisan craftsmanship and a one of a kind culinary journey. Our elite Front of House teams are meant to ensure all guests have an unforgettable stay, extraordinary experience and leave our properties as advocates for the Heritage brand. First impressions set the tone for an entire guest stay.

Guest Attendants

The purpose of these positions is to be the first point of contact for all hotel guests. The Door Attendant will greet guests upon arrival, safely and effectively usher guests into the hotel. Escort guests to the front desk for check in, welcome guests back to the hotel or usher them towards hotel outlets. These are critical roles for setting first impressions and introducing guests to the spirit of Hotel Chaco. The Door Attendant position will report directly to the Director of Guest Relations. Essential hospitality & customer service standards must be used at all times: smile, speak first, and engage in polite conversation (if time permits).

Responsibilities

-Greet Guests upon arrival and set the tone for the guest’s experience

-Retrieve bags and deliver to guest rooms or if bellman is available, coordinate with bellmen to ensure prompt delivery.

-Escort Guests to Guest Host, Meeting Spaces, Outlets

Articulate the story, inspiration and purpose of Hotel Chaco to our guests

-Provide knowledgeable recommendations for guests about hotel events, amenities, local attractions, restaurants, etc.

-Communicate with hotel departments when applicable

-Ability to handle money accurately and o2perate a point of sale system when needed

- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. while using proper lifting techniques and equipment
